Using Web Hera
Web Hera
gives the astronomical community a way to use the HEASoft
(Ftools), CIAO (Chandra) and XMM-Newton Science (XMM-SAS) data analysis software
without actually installing any software. This web interface provides access to
the majority of HEASoft, CIAO and XMM-SAS
functionality, allowing data to be analyzed remotely. It is no longer required
to install the HEASoft, CIAO or XMM-SAS software
suites on each user's computer. This document gives detailed instructions on
how to use Web Hera and examples of running various tools using this web
interface.
To start, just point your web browser's URL to https://hera.gsfc.nasa.gov/webHera/. If you already have an Xamin/Hera account, you can use your Xamin/Hera
ID and password to sign on to the Web Hera system. If you do not already have
an account, please create one using the link below.
